My wife and I enjoy visiting wineries to taste and to participate in that environment. We also are enamored with the hills and valleys that make up this natural wonderment here in our little part of the world.
Coupling those interests with my ongoing quest to take pictures and record images makes for easy-and-often photo opps. What really got me started on making this “a collection” was when I chanced onto a perfect day of blue sky and puffy white clouds in the Fall of 2010 as I headed to the Red Hills of Dundee area early one November morning. We’d been having a very mild Fall season – not much rain nor wind. EVERY direction I looked gave me views of color that “just made my day”; oranges, reds, yellows, greens and browns of every hue. It was an awesome day of clarity with color sharpness and I now wonder if its possible to ever replicate it. It’s not happened in the 3 yrs since. That’s part of the beauty of photography. I’m hooked now on continuing this vineyard collection.
